A pop culture phenomenon is coming to the Carroll Community Theatre
stage! The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series
that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through
clever, tuneful songs is instructing a whole new generation to
“Unpack Your Adjectives” and “Do The Circulation,” and is lighting
up stages everywhere and can be seen in Carroll this July.
Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of
teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters
representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show
him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through
such beloved “Schoolhouse Rock” songs as “Just A Bill,” “Lolly,
Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”
Young children being introduced to the catchy tunes of “School House
Rock” for the first time to “Generation X-ers” seeking a taste of
nostalgia will delight in this sure-fire entertainment that’s simply
good, clean – and educational – fun. CCT proudly presents…

July 24 and 25 @ 7:00pm

The Story of the Nutcracker
– A Play with Dance
For the first time, CCT and
Fusion Dance Carroll
presented this wonderful
play with dance in December
2007. It was a festival for
the eyes and ears filled
with dreams of sugar plums,
queens, mice, toy makers,
nutcrackers; dancing that
took your breath away; a
“growing” Christmas tree;
bright costumes, and music
to enchant and delight all.
Directed by Laura Comito and
choreographed by Deb and
Justin Quandt, the show
incorporated dancers and
actors from age 5 thru 80.
It was a show for all ages
and one the audience
exclaimed, “this is what
Christmas is all about!”
So if you missed the
performance, don’t fret,
Carroll Community Theatre
and Fusion Dance plan on
bringing back the “magic”
again in December of 2008.
More songs, dancing, sets,
costumes will be added but
the same story will
presented – one of believing
in the magic of dreams. See
you in December!!!

AND
MORE......
Carroll Arts Council/Carroll Community

Put
a Little Drama into Your Life ...
From the
President’s Desk
When
one door closes… At the Annual Meeting on
January 18th, 2008 the CCT/CAC had to say
goodbye to two very important members of the
Board of Directors. Maria White, treasurer
and Susan Murphy have finished their terms
on the board and are stepping back. These
two women have meant so much to me in my
years of president. They were more than
board members, much more. They are friends,
family, confidants, adversaries at times,
critics and cheerleaders. I am going to miss
you both- Miss Maria and Susan. Another one
opens… Welcome Katie Jarvis to the Carroll
Community Theatre/ Carroll Arts Council
Board of Directors. It’s great to see
someone new to the area want to jump in and
get involved! Katie was a huge help behind
the scenes for the Dinner Theatre last
October running lights and sound effects. I
am looking forward to working with you and
the returning board members for the 2008/09
season!
